Most smart TVs can play Moa TV. What you install depends on the operating system your TV runs, so start by finding out which one you have: look in Settings → About or Settings → Support → About this TV.
Google TV and Android TV models
Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Sharp and many other brands sell TVs running Google TV or Android TV. These work just like an Android TV box:
- TiviMate installs from the Google Play Store on the TV.
- TiviMate Premium, activated free with every plan, works on the TV itself.
- 4K channels play on 4K models with a steady connection.
Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs
TiviMate isn’t available for Samsung’s Tizen or LG’s webOS. You have two good options:
- Use a player from your TV’s app store. Several IPTV players for Samsung and LG accept an Xtream Codes login or an M3U playlist. Some charge their own activation fee after a trial; that fee goes to the app’s developer.
- Plug in a streaming stick. A Fire TV Stick 4K Max (Fire OS) or a Google TV Streamer runs TiviMate with the full Premium experience, usually for less than a year of most player fees.
Other TVs
Roku TVs and older smart TVs without a suitable app store are easiest with a streaming stick in a spare HDMI port. See Firestick and Android.
The Smart TV setup guide has step-by-step instructions for each type of TV.
Smart TV questions
How do I know if my TV runs Google TV or Android TV?
The home screen usually says Google TV, or the settings menu mentions Android TV. If you can open the Google Play Store on the TV, it’s one of the two.
Which player should I use on a Samsung or LG TV?
App availability changes by country and model year, so our team recommends a current player for your exact model. Ask us with your TV model.
Is a built-in TV app as good as a streaming stick?
On Google TV and Android TV, yes. On Samsung and LG, a streaming stick with TiviMate usually gives a better guide and more features.
