Thinking about cutting the cord? Here’s an honest look at how Moa TV compares with a typical cable or satellite TV package, so you can decide what suits your household.

Price

With Moa TV, the price you see is the price you pay: from $20 for one month down to $6.04 a month on the 24 month plan. There’s no equipment rental and no line-by-line fees. With cable or satellite, the advertised price is often the starting point: box rentals, regional sports fees and broadcast TV fees can add a lot to the monthly bill, and promotional prices usually rise after the first year.

Contracts and flexibility

Cable deals often lock you in for a year or two, with early termination fees. Moa TV plans are prepaid and don’t renew automatically. You choose the length, and if your plans change, you simply don’t renew.

Equipment and setup

Cable needs a box for each TV, and often an installation appointment. Moa TV runs in an app on devices you may already own, or on an inexpensive streaming stick. Our setup guides get most people watching in about ten minutes.

The viewing experience

Cable has one clear advantage: it’s very consistent, because it doesn’t depend on your internet connection. With Moa TV, picture quality depends on your connection too: 20 Mbps for Full HD and 35 Mbps or more for 4K, per stream. In return, you get catch-up, an on-demand library, TiviMate Premium’s TV guide and recording, and the freedom to set up Moa TV on any screen in the house.

Who should switch

Moa TV is a good fit if you:

  • want sport, movies and international channels without paying for add-on packs;
  • have a reliable broadband connection;
  • prefer to choose your own devices and avoid contracts.

Cable may still suit you if your internet connection is slow or unreliable, or if you rely on a specific local channel that isn’t in our lineup. Ask us about any channel before you order.

Try it before you commit

Start with the 1 month plan to test Moa TV on your own TV and connection. If it doesn’t work on your device and we can’t fix it, you can ask for a refund within 24 hours of activation.
