USDT (Tether) is a stablecoin designed to stay at one US dollar, which makes it a popular way to pay for subscriptions like Moa TV. The catch is that USDT exists on many blockchains. When you send it, you must choose a network, and the sender and receiver must use the same one.

Moa TV accepts USDT on three networks: TRON (TRC20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) and Ethereum (ERC20). Here’s how they compare.

TRON (TRC20)

TRON is one of the most widely used networks for USDT transfers, and almost every major exchange supports it. Addresses start with a capital T. When you send from your own wallet, the fee is paid with TRX (or with “energy” if your wallet has some), so keep a little TRX in the wallet. Exchanges charge their own withdrawal fee instead.

BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)

BNB Smart Chain is fast and usually the cheapest of the three. Addresses start with 0x, like Ethereum addresses. Fees are paid in BNB, so keep a small amount of BNB in your wallet if you send from Trust Wallet or MetaMask.

Ethereum (ERC20)

Ethereum is the original home of USDT and is supported everywhere, but its fees are higher and change with network demand. It makes sense if your USDT is already on Ethereum and moving it elsewhere would cost more. Fees are paid in ETH.

How to choose

  • Paying from an exchange? Choose TRC20 or BEP20 for the lowest withdrawal fees.
  • Paying from Trust Wallet or another BNB Smart Chain wallet? Choose BEP20.
  • Your USDT is on Ethereum in MetaMask? Choose ERC20, or move it to a cheaper network first if you pay regularly.

Whichever you pick at checkout, the Moa TV payment page shows our address for that network only.

Avoiding the most common mistake

The most common problem is choosing one network at checkout and another in the exchange’s withdrawal form. To avoid it:

  1. Note the network shown on the payment page, for example *TRON (TRC20)*.
  2. In your exchange’s withdrawal form, choose exactly that network. Exchanges name them slightly differently, such as *TRX Tron (TRC20)* or *BSC (BEP20)*.
  3. Check the address format matches: T for TRON, 0x for BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum.

Because BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum addresses look the same, an exchange will let you send on either. Always double-check the network name.

Never send USDT on a network we don’t list, such as Solana, Polygon, Arbitrum, Avalanche or TON. Those payments can’t be credited.

Paying for Moa TV with USDT

The full step-by-step guide is on Pay with USDT. You’ll send the plan price plus a few cents that identify your payment, paste your transaction ID, and your line is activated once the payment confirms. New to transaction IDs? See what a transaction ID is.

Questions

Is USDT on TRC20 the same USDT as on ERC20?

It’s the same token issued on different blockchains. Each version only moves on its own network.

Which network is fastest?

BNB Smart Chain usually confirms in under a minute, TRON in about a minute and Ethereum in a few minutes.

I chose the wrong network. Is my money lost?

If you sent on one of our three supported networks, paste the transaction ID on the payment page or contact us; we check all three. Payments on unsupported networks can’t be credited.
