In this guide
TiviMate is one of the best-known IPTV players for Android TV, Google TV and Amazon Fire TV. Every Moa TV plan includes a free TiviMate Premium activation, so this guide explains what the app is, what Premium adds and how to get the most from it.
What TiviMate is (and isn’t)
TiviMate is a media player made by its own independent developers. It’s designed for TV screens and remotes, and it turns an IPTV login into a cable-style experience: a program guide, channel groups, favorites and quick channel switching.
What it isn’t: a source of channels. TiviMate doesn’t provide any content. You add a playlist from your IPTV provider (in our case, your Moa TV login) and TiviMate plays it. You can read more about the player on the official TiviMate website.
Free TiviMate vs. TiviMate Premium
The free version is a good player, but most of what makes TiviMate special is in Premium:
| Feature | Free | Premium |
|---|---|---|
| Live TV with program guide | Yes | Yes |
| More than one playlist | No | Yes |
| Favorites management and custom channel order | Limited | Yes |
| Catch-up on supported channels | No | Yes |
| Recording, including scheduled and recurring | No | Yes |
| Multi-view: several channels on screen | No | Yes |
| Reminders for upcoming programs | No | Yes |
| Parental controls | No | Yes |
| Auto frame rate | No | Yes |
| Backup and restore of your settings | No | Yes |
Premium is normally bought from TiviMate’s developers through the TiviMate Companion app or their website. One Premium account covers up to five devices.
How the free activation with Moa TV works
When you order any Moa TV plan, we take care of Premium for you:
- You order and pay for your plan.
- Once your payment confirms, we activate your Moa TV line and your TiviMate Premium account.
- You receive your Moa TV login and your TiviMate account details by email. Both are also in My subscription.
- In TiviMate, you go to Settings → Unlock Premium → Account, sign in with the TiviMate account, name the device and choose Activate.
That’s it: there’s nothing to buy in the app. The TiviMate Premium guide shows each screen, and our walkthrough on adding your login to TiviMate covers the playlist side.
The Premium features worth using first
- Favorites. Build a short list of the channels you watch every day. It makes TiviMate feel like your own TV service. Our TV guide tips show how.
- Catch-up. On supported channels, scroll back in the guide and play a program that already aired. See catch-up TV.
- Recording. Record a match or a film to your device’s storage or a USB drive. A larger USB drive is worth it on a Fire TV Stick, which has little storage.
- Auto frame rate. Turn it on under Settings → Playback for smoother sport and films.
- Parental controls. Lock adult and late-night groups behind a PIN if children use the TV.
Devices and connections: two different limits
People often mix these up:
- TiviMate Premium works on up to five devices signed in to the same TiviMate account.
- Your Moa TV line plays on one screen at a time, unless you’ve arranged extra connections with us.
So you can set up TiviMate Premium on the living-room TV, the bedroom TV and a spare stick, and watch on whichever you’re in front of. To watch on two screens at the same moment, ask us about a second connection. See multi-device support.
Which devices run TiviMate?
TiviMate runs on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV (Fire OS). It isn’t available for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Samsung or LG TVs, or Windows. Some newer Fire TV Sticks run Amazon’s Vega OS and can’t install it either; see Fire TV and Vega OS. If you need a device, our guide to the best devices for TiviMate can help.
TiviMate Premium questions
Do I have to pay anything for TiviMate Premium?
No. Premium activation is included with every Moa TV plan.
What happens to Premium when I renew?
Nothing changes. Premium carries on while your Moa TV subscription is active, and your devices keep their settings.
Can I use the free version instead?
Yes, but you’d miss catch-up, recording, multi-view and other Premium features that are included in your plan anyway.
